How To Grow Your Business With A CRM Strategy

CRM stands for Customer Relationship Management and it is how countless of business owners are growing their business and improving their bottom line. A good CRM system in your business will allow you to improve customer relations, increase revenues, and optimize your marketing.

I am an absolute true believer that if any business owner truly wants to grow their business then they need to have a good CRM in place. The biggest mistake most business owners make is just keeping their database trapped in excel or outlook. I use a great crm which helps me automate my communication and follow ups with not only my current clients but also prospective clients as well.

What To Look For In A Great CRM:

  1. It should be easy to use and allow you to access it from wherever you are
  2. You want something that will allow you to be able to collect emails easily and create automated follow ups to current customers as well as potential customers
  3. They offer an easy way to import your current contact list into their system
  4. The platform should offer a free trial in order to give you an opportunity to test it out and see if it will be a good fit for your business

Over the years I have tested several CRM platforms for my business and have narrowed the choices down to just two that seem to do the trick and work the best for many business owners who are looking to take their business to the next level of growth. These sites are All Clients and Sendpepper.

Both platforms are loaded with great  features. Below I have mentioned just a few of my favorites:

  1. The ability to track birthdays, anniversaries, and other significant events and automate follow ups to my contact list on these special days
  2. You are able to segment your contact list into specific categories based on a variety of different parameters like interests or even products ordered
  3. You can create individual landing pages to help you build up your contact list and convert more prospects into new customers over time
  4. You can create a customized monthly newsletter with your contact information. This is of course a great way for you to stay “top of mind” with current and potential customers

If you are serious about growing your business, then I encourage you to go ahead and check out each of the platforms and look over the specific features they offer. Then choose which one you feel would be a good fit for your business and sign up for their free trial. As an added note, I wanted to mention that on almost every occassion where I may have needed a little more time to continue checking out the features, I have never been denied an extension on my free trial.

How To Grow Your Business Giving Back To Local Charities

marketing strategy

One great way to get exposure to your business is by helping out local charities where your business is located. You can do this on your own or by partnering with other local businesses. Doing so creates a win-win for all parties involved. The charity wins by earning money to support their cause and you win by getting more exposure for your business. So here is a real life example:

Let’s say you own a carpet cleaning business. You can reach out to other businesses in your area who also have services that cater to home renters or owners such as landscapers, plumbers, painters, etc. Next, each of the businesses would offer some above and beyond specials to be placed in the coupon book. Now is not the time to get stingy with the offer since you will most likely make it back on repeat business and referral business. Make sure that each business owner understands this concept.

After the coupon booklet is printed up you can then contact multiple charities in your area and offer to give them the coupon booklets for free to be sold at a certain price, with the understanding that they get to keep 100% of the money earned. Remember, this can be done with several other businesses or you can simply create your own coupon book for your business. Just keep in mind that there is power in numbers, and partnering with other businesses can add synergy to your marketing efforts.  Happy Marketing!!!

Reputation Marketing For Your Local Business

If you type your businesses’ name into Google, you may be surprised at what you find on the front page. Do You Have Bad Reviews? Do You Have No Reviews?

When potential customers want to find out more about a business, one of the first things they tend to do is search for them on the internet in order to find reviews from past customers. If you have bad reviews, few reviews, or even no reviews at all, then a potential customer is going to look elsewhere for the products and services you offer.

If they come across any of your competitors who have more positive reviews than you, then chances are pretty good that they are going to end up doing business with them instead of you.
